The ps4 version by itself will easily outsell it.  Smash wii u will probably sell around melee numbers (unless the 3ds version drastically steals sales from it).  So around 6-8 million for lifetime sales.   Ps4 version of destiny is supposed to be at that level by the end of this year.  Destiny should also have some strong legs, just like smash.  It will continue to sell.  So i dont think there is really any chance smash outsells the ps4 version.  The question is if the xbox one version of the game can catch fire with the xbox community like it has with the playstation community.   I think it can, which is why i made the thread!

Even then I think it will continue to sell.  Supposedly your characters will transfer over to the sequels.  So as of now, bungie is planning the games to build on each other...

There's a very good chance of this happening in my opinion. You buy XBox for FPS, but you don't buy a Wii U for fighters. Nintendo just happening to own one of the best fighting game franchises is just a perk of owning a Wii U.

No, smash having legs is a given, I think.  

Based on the performance of other new IPs on XB1, I'm inclined to disagree. Smash will sell north of 5 million, and although I expect big numbers from Destiny, it would be impressive for one of four SKUs (and certainly not the best-selling of those SKUs) to sell so well.
