Import duties? VAT? Exchange rates? Different supply/demand curves? Less competition? Less consumers? Larger profit margins?

Haven't watched the video, though :)

Please come and visit Australia. It'll be fun to compare prices

Unfortunately I am in the worst place for gaming LOL.

I am in the UK right now and the prices are insane.  It's like 50% more exspensive.  The funny thing is that PC hardware is only like 25% more expensive.  I would probably be a PC only gamer in countries like this...

Games are dirt cheap there

Not just UK... also EU. My PS4 cost almost 600 dollars
Needless to say the PS3 cost almost 800 dollars

And unlike the UK, our games are also super expensive.

But don't y'all get paid $18 on minimum wage?

It's more expensive everywhere outside the US.

If you mean the UK by "there" then it is lolworthy. The game prices have increased by 30% compared to only a few years ago, while the prices in the US stay the same. The game prices there were half of the prices in my country and now they are very close, basically tied.

That is why I didn't buy a single game at retail for the last two years. The US PSN is all I have.
