X1 still selling better in N. America than wii U. Kind of strange as the wii sold really well in N. America last gen.

Considering the Wii's numbers were in no small part due to a casual audience, (not intended to be derogatory, but dear God, people I knew who didn't game AT all owned a Wii cause of bowling or some other bit, so just saying that the device had appeal outside the core gamer demographic,) and said casual audience isn't really inclined to 'upgrade' to the next best thing when their current console works just fine... not particularly.

Considering the Xbox 360 won N. America last gen it isn't really strange at all.
No, the wii was on pace to be the best selling console in America. Then sales slowed drastically. The 360 surpassed it late in the gen as it's sales rate did not fall as fast.

Ummm yes, the Xbox 360 did win America last gen. Doesn't really matter what the Wii did early on, in the end it lost.
My original point was partially that the wii u's sales rate is bad in N. America compared to the wii . It is a huge change and probably very important to Nintendo as a company.

I get your point, and if you consider it from another point of view, it even contains the answer to your doubt: Wii was doing very well, but Ninty itself messed things up killing it too early and allowing XB360 to surpass it, so, while thinking about almighty Wii, we could expect Wii U to succeed too, if instead we think about Ninty killing it early for heaven knows what strange reason, then in the same way we could expect Ninty messing things up again. Yes, it's crazy, it looks like split personality, neither Ninty fans nor industry experts and analysts are able to find a logical explanation.
Well, going by the numbers posted by VG Chartz and how much the number was raised, Xbox One is being overtracked by around a bit over 150,000 in July.

Would not be surprised, this month has to be almost as bad as may.
