Best: Amazing Spiderman 2
Worst: Godzilla

Godzilla wasn't terrible but it is my least favorite of the summer. I guess that means its been a pretty good summer for movies.

Its a mystery to me. It is actually the only movie I've seen this summer that ended with the audience clapping and yet its one of the most crapped on movies this summer.

I think a lot of people came in ready to hate the movie, plus the first one felt very pointless. Also the marketing for the movie was very bad. I had very low expectations but it ended up being imo the second best spiderman movie ever after the original spiderman 2. Andrew Garfield spiderman >>>>>> Tobey McGuire spiderman.

I thought it was a very good flick. I loved how they had 3 villians in it. Thought it had some nice balance. Gwen's scene was pretty crazy. Spiderman 1 used to be the best spiderman to me id say this one beats it out.

Best: TA Spiderman 2
Worst: Transformers 4

Note: I have yet to see Apes 2.

Best Movie - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Worst Movie - Transformer's 4 & Godzilla tie

SPOILERS!

Transformers had a terrible story and i felt like important scenes were rushed while the rest of the movie was dragged out, didn't really understand it all that much as they didn't explain the backstory at all, but saying that it delivered with it's awesome set-piece's, action and awesome characters. Lockdown was the best villain i have seen in a movie in years, so badass and menacing, he had the most badass entrances i have ever seen. Kudos to Michael Bay for the action but f**k him for everything else.

On the other hand Godzilla was just an average film. It did'nt live up to most people's expectations, especially mine. The whole 45 minute build up was underwhelming and unnecessary. The human element was pretty bad except for Bryan Cranston who was great as you would expect. Elizabeth Olsen was good as well along with Ken Watanabe. But my biggest gripe with the film was that Godzilla got his ass kicked too much. Waiting 45+ minutes to see him get his ass kicked isn't cool.

I haven't seen The Amazing Spiderman 2 or Planet of the Ape's yet.
