Then Bungie finally showed Destiny for the first time, just a couple days before the PS4 reveal. Many people thought MS/Bungie were trying to steal some of Sony's thunder.
But.... then Bungie walked on stage during the PS4 conference and shocked everyone.
Not only was Destiny going to be on PS4 on day 1, but PS4 was going to get exclusive content and Bungie formed a long term marketing partnership with Sony.
Then E3 came around last year and Destiny first gameplay reveal was at the Sony conference.
This year they revealed that Destiny Alpha was PS4 exclusive, and PS4 was getting earlier access to the Beta.
They also revealed that PS4 would be getting an exclusive white-PS4 bundle with Destiny.
and then the exclusive content was finally revealed. "unique co-op Strike located on Mars, an exclusive competitive map, and a slew of exclusive guns, gear, and ships" making the PS4 version the clear cut definitive version.
Destiny has a massive marketing budget, and will surely feature the PS4 logo at the end. This will probably be the best selling PS4 game when it comes out.
It's been a long, continuous, agonizing road to Destiny for Bungie fans who are not PlayStation owners. How big of a win is Destiny for PS4? It seems like the most hyped game right now and will surely have huge sales.
