Star Fox Assault had some pros and cons but the music and artstyle were definitely pluses for me..what did you guys think of the game?

This is the Orbital Gate stage. This is a Wii U version-exclusive stage...

Anyways, the stage looks awesome, but I have yet to play a Star Fox game... I plan to get SF64 3D eventually, but I have so many games to play

SF64  is a great game that's not as linear as Assault.

Star Fox Assault had a great concept but the execution wasnt the best, it definitely lacked polish/refinement. If Star Fox U is like that but improved in every way then I will be happy with it.

I loved StarFox Assault, as a kid its one of my favorite games right next to Kirby Air ride and Melee. The multiplayer was tons of fun as I remember it. I gave it to my brother a few years ago and he also liked it a lot.

I really liked the multiplayer. Mostly due to me wanting a greater focus on ground combat after unlocking the option in the Star Fox 64 multiplayer. The ability to jump in and out vehicles was a much enjoyed bonus.

As far as the single player campaign went, it was enjoyable. Just not in the same way as Star Fox 64.

The multiplayer was pretty good, up to 4 players and fun if you could find people to play with.   One reason I chose VS music tracks was because not everybody gets a chance to hear the tracks if they don't play the multiplayer VS mode.
