Yeah they need to work on that People are getting tired of Gears and Halo.

Are they though? lol Halo seems to be the only thing people will buy an Xbox for. And Gears is far away so I wouldn't know, but Gears 3 was a masterpiece.

Gears of War 3 wasn't a Masterpiece.  It had the lowest Game Ranking's score of any game in the series other than the incredibly mediocre Judgement which only scored in the 70s.  The Masterpiece and Overall Game of the Year for 2012, the year Gears 3 released, was ThatGameCompany's Journey exclusively on the World's Finest Seventh Gen Console Sony's Playstation 3.

Gears 3 was a masterpiece though. It was the rediculously polished, content packed, culmination of the work done on the first two games. And then you mention that you never even played it lol.

Well isn't Forza on the same level as Gears at least in terms of sales lol?

Gears 3 wasn't a Masterpiece.  It wasn't nominated for any of the major 2011 Game of the Year Awards and it continued the Gears' series fall in Metacritic and Game Rankings scores that occurred with Gears II and has continued right through the series latest mediocre effort Gears of War Judgement.

Gears III has lower Metacritic and Game Rankings scores than the following Playstation Exclusives Uncharted 2 ( higher than any Gears game ), The Last of Us ( higher than any Gears game ), Little Big Planet ( higher than any Gears game ), Metal Gear Solid IV:  Guns Of The Patriots ( Higher than Gears, II, Gears III, and Judgement ), God of War III ( Higher than Gears III and Judgement ), Journey 2012's Overall Game of the Year, and Uncharted III that was nominated for Game of the Year Honors in 2011 including the VGA's Overall Game of the Year Award while Gears III wasn't.

i think they will go back to the black tusk ip once gears is out

Really?

Surely only if gears next is a complete tank, otherwise i would expect them to go straight onto the Gears 6.

Id be amazed if there not planning a new trilogy, buying an IP for one game would not of been cheap.

Why are you using metacritic religiously, though?

I was led to believe that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is the best game of the franchise, but if we use your logic system, the game actually is way way worse than MGS2: Sons of Liberty, scoring five points less than its predecessor. Things keep going downhill with the series latest mediocre effort Portable Ops, right?

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater has lower metacritic and Game Ranking than the following Playstation exclusives Uncharted 2 (The same as Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty), The Last of Us (not higher than Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty), Little Big Planet (Less than Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty), Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots (Less than Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty), God of War III (Less than Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty), Journey's overall Game of the Year 2012 (Something Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty achieved back in 2001), and Uncharted 3 was nominated for Game of the Year Honors in 2011 including the VGA's Overall Game of the Year Award, something (while not the VGA's) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty had already achieved.

So, following that line of logic, we get to the point that the only Playstation Exclusive Sony has produced in the last 13 years that can be considered "Masterpiece" in comparison to a masterpiece because metacritic says so, is Uncharted 2. Only one game. One. The rest, games like Journey, The Last of Us, LittleBigPlanet and so aren't masterpieces, because, if we compare them with MGS2: Sons of Patriots, they scored less metacritic.

What a shame for Sony.

It's called Halears, and it will be a fps set on a flat planet that is being attacked by chest high walls

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I'm hoping they put that money they saved on cancelling Xbox Entertainment Studios into a new AAA developer on par with Black Tusk and 343.

Interesting.

IMO I believe that ScaleBound could reach 1 million LT on Xbox One, although a lot depends on MS Marketing and the appeal of the game still have to wait on actual gameplay though.

I think it will sell well but it wont really get anywhere near to the mark of Halo or Gears. I can't wait for it because I love Platinums Hack N Slash games. The biggest problem with them is that most of their games don't really make complete sense to a western audience or have a coherent story.
