I ask this question because MS gave up on Black Tusks new game to go continue status quo with Gears of War. So....where is the new IP that will take over when Halo and Gears get old? Did I miss anything at E3? Sure, MS has a lot of fun games that pass the time like Dance Central Spotlight, Forza Horizon, Ori and the Blind Forest, Crackdown and more. Where is the heavy hitter that will show Microsofts internal investment in the future of the company? Please....don't say Scalebound. MS isnt even making that and I know that wont be huge. I love platinum but they make great filler games to pass the time.

Where is the new IPs that will take over when Gran Tourismo and Mario get old?

Sony has and Nintendo have created how many new IPs? And still nothing bigger than those franchises. Failures!!!

Okay..what other Xbox IP has sold has much as Halo?

MS will only revive what they feel is a financially viable option. They have Rares fleet, but only believe in a handful of them. Thats pretty easy to see now. They wont even let Rare develop Killer Instinct and Conker is being used in Project Spark.

Well... yeah. Sony flatout said they're going to make less games because many were financial failures.

Ken Lobb worked on the Killer Instinct. That's just as good as having Rare working on it.

Kinect Adventures. :-p

The OP is being critical at MS for not creating IPs bigger than Halo or Gears. But Sony and Nintendo's biggest IPs are old as well. Are they not investing in their future?

The Real Klobb is considered the godfather of the damn game. And he designed and supervised most of them while worked at Nintendo. If there's a person that deserves to work on this game more than this new Rare is Ken Lobb.

I am going to ignore that example...but still Gran Tourismo sold almost as much as the best selling Halo game. Also I dont know about Nintendo but Sony does take plenty of risks with thier IPs. evident in TLOU and critically acclaimed games like Heavy Rain and LittlebigPlanet. Really wished MS didnt play safe everytime.

Sure, Kinect games, Arcade games and heavy influx of Indy games since 2010 have been less risky.

Really? -_-

kinect games and arcade games and Indie games (which cost close to nothing to make) are the big risks that Microsoft make?

are those indie even exclusives?

Seriously man....

I'm stupid for argumenting my case, when you don't know much about Xbox.
