Sony have just released PlayStation 4′s latest firmware update which only improves the stability of some applications and software. This has apparently made certain fans livid as they believe that Sony are simply pushing out stability updates after updates. Microsoft on the other hand has been extremely forthcoming with their monthly feature previews and have added meaningful features every month for the Xbox One.

Several users from Reddit, Twitter and Neogaf are disappointed that Sony have been extremely slow regarding their feature updates for the PlayStation 4. Although they have added the SHAREfactory feature and have several things planned for the future, most users believe that Sony should consistently start releasing features that make sense.

GamingBolt’s take: Although Sony have a history of releasing a lot of stability updates,  its high time they should add at least add basic features like instant suspend and resume, CD and file playback and DLNA streaming. Heck, even a small update like changing your PS4′s UI background and theme will make certain users happy.

Well to be honest, they are 1st place and don't have to do anything in a rush. They can give their users updates when they are good and ready, they can afford to do so

I'm not complaining about this.
But I really want them to give any sort of download manager, what we have now is pitiful. At least back to PS3 functionality, ability to pause and prioritize downloads...

I want more feature but I don't get angry over it, nor do the vast majority of PS4 users.

When you're the unquestionable winner, no real need to fix these promptly...

Instant resume is pretty awesome. I can turn off my Xbox while playing a game, go to work, come back home in the exact same spot. Its kinda scary lol. But PS4 owners shouldn't complain, MS is a software giant. Of course we're able to get monthly updates. Give Sony some time.

Nothing, but complaining about a perfectly fine stability update is the way to go..

I want features but I know they are coming. More importantly though, I can still play games perfectly on it so I am good.
