Before reading, know this is not a troll article. I am not putting down Xbox One owners, even though I do not like Xbox myself.

I am surprised that Xbox One is doing so poorly after the price cut, improved Xbox Gold--and not needing it for Netflix, etc.--special Gamestop deals, and all the Phil Spencer works. Man have things changed! Xbox was the popular American system. Even the Wii U--supposedly on death row--is beating Xbox One now. I can say I am pleased, but surprised as well. It has been my dream for years for Playstation to beat Xbox in America again. I remained loyal to the Playstation brand through it's worst times. Where is the loyalty of the 360 fans?

Back in the day, on 1up.com, I kept telling all the 360 gamers that they are on the wrong side. I told them about how MS is corrupt and that they are buying RROD junk machines. I felt like they were disloyal after 2 generations of fun that Playstation provided for them. They wouldn't listen to me and they blasted me left and right. They seemed blindly loyal, and my words seemed to have little effect. So why the change?

I only have theories. The DRM/always online disaster of E3 2013? Forced Kinect inclusion? Dropping Kinect after vowing that Kinect would stay with every Xbox One? Misleading advertizing? A combination of things? I am not sure. It just seems like many people woke up and saw what I saw for a change.

Let me know in the comments why you think the Xbox brand is failing right now even after all the improved changes MS has made. I don't have much time for responses, but I will read your comments. If I have the time, I will respond. Thanks.

If it doesn't sell more then 30m I think it might be the last Xbox but knowing Microsoft it probably won't
I also think PSV will be the last Sony handheld

Not really a big reason for 360 owners to upgrade yet. That might change starting this holiday though.

This, all the big third party games are on 360

America is the least loyal country. PS2 was huge there but in the next gen the 360 was the most popular.

It's become cool to hate now. There's nothing objectively wrong with the XBO as it is now. It's a little weaker and probably has less exclusive. PS4 seems obviously better, but the XBO isn't a major step worse like people make it out to be.

Maybe it's signaling the end of american-style games in the same way Japanese gaming declined. COD is starting to go down in sales after all.

Or not. Meh.

I'm certainly not going to fault anyone for not remaining "loyal" to a large corporation. In fact, the whole idea confuses me. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo care about our money first and foremost.

I love ps and have stayed faithfull for 4 generations. But even selling 100-120M before ps3 release not much of the faithfull bought a ps3 in the beggining so maybe there are less true fans than we think so.
