Because the Industry want a MS/Sony-only world when it comes to consoles. So even though it should be soundly outsold by the Wii U, the industry will give it an unfair advantage.

He who has the most third party has the power. Learn it. Nintendo once ruled because of it.

They believe in Halo, Gears and Microsoft's ability to find companies to make games for them. Most of all they believe in third party.

Sales are not a point of view.

And consoles ARE their libraries. Unless hardware is ridiculously gimped like the Virtual boy.

So you think because Nintendo's first party games have sold more than Microsoft's first party before they should always sell more? It doesn't work like that, peoples tastes change, the latest Halo outsold the latest Mario. There is also a lot more to a console than just games. Controllers for one, some people prefer Xbox controllers to anything the Wii U has, some also prefer the Wii U controls but that again shows a console isn't just games. There is the online infrastructure and account systems, as well as things like achievements. Some people may not care for achievements but others do, those that do that played 360 are going to want to keep that going so that will be a factor for them as well. Then there are things like Kinect, some people hate it and wanted it gone, but for others it is a selling point.

Nintendos problem with competing the traditional console market is that their third party is lacking. MS knew what the answer was as to why Sony dominated everyone and cut Sony's marketshare down because of it. It had absoutely nothing to do with first party. Nintendo always alienates themselves from the game and it always comes down to MS and Sony because of it, but its not like MS is expanding the size of the market or anything. Thats mostly Sony and Nintendo.

The ones who feel they have something to prove are the most vocal

50 million.
Not more.

I dobut even the 50 milion.

1. No ROD this time, where some gamers bought 2-3 X360.

2. Weaker than PS4.

3. People will never forget Microsofts leis and arrogance.

I was X360 only last gen but will never buy the XBO.

The one who has the most GAMES has the power. Learn it. Although I fail to see how this has anything to do with my point. You probably misunderstood what I was trying to say.

Anyway. History lesson: It was almost solely first party games that rocketed the early NES into the stratosphere. Not the early third party games.

I LOVE ICELAND!

I'd  feel safe betting money on them selling more because of that, yes.

If you take away the games, none of the things you listed matters.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Before, I thought X1 had a chance to hit 50M. Now... not anymore.

Shipments courtesy of Aquamarine from GAF:

January 2006 - June 2006: 3.5M 360s
January 2014 - June 2014: 3.1M X1s + 360s

I believe MS announced that they shipped 800k 360s in Q3 2014, so X1 shipments from Jan to June 2014 is less than 2.3M.

That doesn't matter. The PS4 will sell on the strength of multiplats. Destiny will sell more PS4s than any exclusive could (barring huge heavy hitters come out next year).

The line-up is pretty comparable though.

MCC -TLOU

FH2 - DC

SO - LBP3

And Xbox One won't?

NO, xbox wont, its been prooben. Look at watchdos and look at destinys preorder charts, look what happened after the new sku, it lost in third and its on the decline. But I gess you will not take any of that into account, so jsut wait for destiny to come out so you can finally accept it.

Why is that exactly?

Because look ate gen 7. The wii wiped the floor with the competition and people still claim that the 360 won, even thou it got last place just because it won in the US.
