Forums - Sony Discussion - Just make it happen Sony

Rime and No Mans Sky are one of the most anticipated "indie" games for me. These two game looks awesome. But there is a good probability these might come as digital only. I consider digital games as long time rental. I always avoid digital games. I avoided Journey in PS3. But I played it when it came at retail. I just want these two in retail. Dont care about price. But I hope Sony makes it happen.

I wonder how expensive limited physical edition runs would be. Would people pay a $5-10 premium for physical versions? You see this situation sometimes in niche titles.

I dont know others buy I prefer retail copy. Its because I am very old (128 years). Lol.

Jokes aside digital games kinda makes sense in PC. But in consoles it doesnt make sense. People who own at psn (in ps3) wont be able to download games from it when psn shuts down. Plus consoles are not backwards compatible.

I imported okami hd from japan around $50, which can be baught easily $10. I waited for a long time to play Journey. I dont know why but I am very odd.

Physical media is also long term rental. I have a few games that no longer work, and they are in mint condition visually. Disc 2 of my original Final Fantasy VII no longer works. Project Gotham Racing on the XB and God of War 3 on PS3. I also had an off road 4 X 4 games from way back on PC that did the same thing, but I can not remember the name right now.

I think for a select few digital titles you would have plenty of space to save them to hard drive, and they would be available for years. It all depends on luck though really. I have had the same epic HDD in one computer for 12 years. I have had others quit after 4.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

No Man's Sky looks amazing. Didn't they release a retail version of Ducktales Remastered the same time as the digital version that sold terribly? I seem to remember an article talking about that.  I agree though I prefer retail.  Downloading is kind of annoying and memory comes at a premium.  Just look at Vita memory cards and how 500GB is going to be not even close to enough space on new gen HDD's within prob 2 years.  LOL I remember buying an 80 GB PS3 and a 60 GB 360 and thinking those would be fine for life of console.  I have been constantly deleting, reinstalling, and transferring for at least last 2 or 3 years due to not having enough space.  it actually had to start day 1 with the vita memory doing these things...

As much as I look forward to these games ps+ has conditioned me to take a wait and see approach to indies, especially the higher profile ones.

Ubisoft and EA taught me a valuable lesson to go physical all the way, so I would love for these indie games to be on disc.

i'll buy them digitally regardless..

I'd like to buy the retail copy of Rime... never liked the idea to have some of my games in digital.

Hey don't click here ! It's creepy !!

I want a PlayStation All-Stars Sequel ! Come on Sony, stop making too many shooters !

I'll make a better signature when I'll have time to do it...
