Forums - Politics Discussion - Israel is getting out of hand

I have seen the images coming out of Gaza. Butchered, murdered children and women. Babies murdered. Ambulances hit. Flechette shells used. Its absolutely disgusting what they are getting away with.

Its a massacre. Its genocide. If it was any other country on earth, there would be worldwide uproar.

It actually is. But which option does Israel have if they are constantly threatened and if there are rockets aimed at you almost every day? For God's sake they almost never reach Israel but they are still offended every day while Hamas hides intentionally between civilians.

Yeah, keep questioning Wikipedia or any other link I would have given you, on the internet. Go and google for the history of Israel, please. Or go to a library and get yourself a good book. Or watch a movie, if that suits you better - like "The Ten Commandments" and learn about Moses.

At least I gave you a link while you stand here in this thread with a post which only shows all participants that you lack knowledge in history.

Have a nice day.

Nah, maybe you use movies to learn about stuff like that, i don't. History is written by the winners and is manipulated all the time, so nothing is final. But we do know there was no Israelian state in that region less than a century ago and when you look up the older maps you see it was much smaller than it is today. Colonisation is what that means.

So how do you decide what to believe and what not from history older than, let's say, 100 years ago?

Ehm, you should take a history class, I guess.

Maybe you could show me what you mean instead of posting comments with no meaning?

You know Wikipedia can be ''updated'' by anyone, right? You know the Russian Wikipedia say Ukraine shot down the Malesian plane that crashed a few days ago for example. I understand your views if the internet is what you're using to learn about history.

Pointless arguing with you as you obvious have an agenda and extremely biased view. But you don't get to pick and choose which parts of a lands history to take note of if you want to claim historical rights to it. I don't support either side, but you really should get a more thorough education of the areas history as it might help you understand both sides of the conflict a little better.

Perhaps you should visit your local library if you're so skeptical of the internet.

But I'm guessing you'd rather not research this topic.

And why not? It's their land. Israel didn't even exist 80 years ago. That tells you enough about who stole what.

Ehm, you should take a history class, I guess.

There is one thing clear, every time there were peace offers, Israel refused them, Israel refuses to let the Palestinians control their own country, move freely and trade freely with the outside world, they settle on their land, burn their farms and are constantly beating them up, through their settlers and their army, I ask you, who would not resist any way they can? who in their right mind would just wait until their people are completely anihilated until they do something, something as basic as throwing a rock or launching a "rocket" that would be considered a small firework anywhere else?

Only Israel refuses? Come on, this is wrong and you should know that. Hamas is *never* going to contract peace with Israel!

More interestingly though, how does Hamas manage to get all these rockets and generally weapons? Who is supporting them? Who doesn't want to stop this war behind the scenes?

60 people wounded including 30 medical staff after tanks shelled Central Gaza Hospital.

How can anyone defend this?

Edit - Watch your quote trees people!

Thanks, but i don't take advice from biased people claiming i'm the one with bias. Even IF there was no history to be studied i have eyes and i can see a country much more powerfull than the other one using everything it has to kill them. Excuse me for not sympathizing with them because they get shot with rockets from a rebel movements that is trying to save their lands. It's like they are supposed to fall in line and let themselves be killed because hey Israel existed there thousands of years ago, according to some book.

Well 3 people were killed in Israel, so that's how. Each civiliian there is worth 200 Palestinian you see..

It's a pretty terrible conflict, at this point there is no more mercy between sides. Unfortunately I feel this conflict was waiting to erupt after years of failure to come to any peaceful longterm conclusion between Gaza and Israel.

Every day children die in Africa because of war - be it as victims or as "warriors" with guns (which makes them victims, too, of course). There is injustice happening all around the world, blood baths, slavery, everything.

This doesn't make the situation in Gaza anything better, of course, but shows how our attention is leaded by media.

Defending this? No one can. Understand it? Perhaps also no one can if you are not involved on either side. Judge it? We all do...
