Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Do people honestly think that Hyrule Warriors will do well? Like at all?

Wtf... I never even realised that.

Pretty sad to see that such a game even gets that high numbers.... Oh well... Zelda games deserve to sell better anyway.

I'm just glad casuals don't give a damn about Nintendo consoles anymore because garbage like Link's Crossbow Training won't be produced..

Links Crossbow Training sold 5 million copies.
If that shit can sell 5 mio., im pretty sure Hyrule Warriors will atleast get to 1 mio.

100m installed base vs 6.5m installed base dude.

I think it'll be a mixed reception to be honest. At least among consumers, because even though it's Zelda, it doesn't stop it from being a Dynasty Warrior clone.

I know, thats the reason why i said 1 mio. instead of 5.

Zelda WW HD also sold 1 mio. and that is a remake, so why not this game?
It might not be a real zelda, but a lot of zelda fans will still buy it.

I think the Zelda paintjob tactic will work in the west and will make it one of the, if not the best selling Musou game in the west (which in itself doesn't mean much). Why? Because western Zelda fans seem to be a little irrational regarding Zelda, if the internet can be believed.

In Japan I don't think this will be a very successful experiment.

I think it'll be talked about more than it's purchased, to be honest. And it'll have absolutely no legs once reviews are out.

Really? I think the Wii era was a nice time... I still got all the games i want and i loved the most of them.

No casuals means probably that the system wont be supported that long, so thats not all that great.

That might very well be the case, I can imagine a lot of early adopters of that game being very disappointed with it after looking past the Zelda coat and realising that at the end of the day it is still a Dynasty Warriors game and those are really not for everyone.

Why would reviews impact the sales of the game? It will most likely get a better metascore than previous Dynasty Warriors games.

Even Links Crossbow training got a metascore of 70 and that game completely sucked.
