More like Nintendo, MS, and Sega are all responsible for their own failures.

Nintendo has no reason being a console manufactorer. Their hardware is terrible. The gamepad is large and clunky, and the 3DS is uncomfortable with a pointless 3D gimmick. Their games are great though, so in an ideal word Nintendo would be software only. Too bad this isn't an ideal world.

Nintendo is bad for the game industry when in dominaion, Not saying that nintedo is bad, but being a leader in the last gen only made that everyone in the industry wanted to follow that sucess trying to invent something that no gamer asked, and true gamers were abandoned with this gimmicks !

the early 7th gen and till mid gen was damn boring with this new kind of controlls, sorry but i just want normal controller and good games, Nintendo has the second one, but still the others got that too, sony is simply ahead this time because they knew their audience wanted games, Nintendo doesn't know who wais their audience anymore..

And please the numbers means zero when comparing generations, did Nintendo last gen contributed to the industry? i don't think so, simply because the profits of their games and consoles went all for themselves
