"Right-size"? That is a new way to soften firing people. I swear you deal with some corporate people and they all talk this way with bizarre euphemisms. Surprised "paradigm" wasn't used.

Yes, corporations make massive layoffs as clinical and nonpersonal as (in)humanly possible. So this article is basically just someone trying to be funny on a pretty shaky foundation.

This ^^^^... Pretty standard letter especially since it's not a layoff to survive but just a logical consequence of a big merger and the result of a new CEO with different objectives... MS is still hiring during that same time... Layoffs are just because services are not needed anymore or doubled in this case, not because they need money
