This isn't the layoff memo. It just talks future strategy and was probably sent to every MS employee.

You know, when I first saw this thread, I sighed. Another thread piling on just for the sake of piling on. I saw a ton of such threads during the "Sony sells another building lol" period. After I started reading the memo, I thought the same thing.
Then I kept reading.
And reading.
Now, I want to apologize to the OP and the author of the original article. This memo deserves all the mockery it can get. I mean, what the actual fuck? People don't want to read paragraph after paragraph of how awesome Microsoft is and how they don't fit into corporate strategy so they're being dropped like hot potatoes.
That was bloody ridiculous. I feel pissed off and I didn't even lose my job.
Also, "digital life experiences" as a buzz-phrase is worse than "mobile-first world".

Im not.
You forgot to include the gif.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
Another idiot Microsoft executive? They have a lot of those over there. The article was funny, but lets not forget people are losing their jobs and that is no laughing matter.
I"d almost have preferred reading that without your comments inserted between paragraphs. It's already a very oddly written piece, you don't need to influence our perception with your thoughts between the read.
Still, that sucks. More bad PR and losing a job is never fun!
This also shows that nothing really has changed at the "core" microsoft business. They're still a money hungry monster that doesn't even pretend to hide it.
Any chance MS can get eh! it's amazing how you can get what reads like PR spin in memo that is going to end with thousands getting the sack!
