Forums - Gaming Discussion - Destiny Last Gen vs Current Screenshot Comparison

PS4 looks a lot better overall, but the games will play the same, so it won't make too much of a difference.

Hope it looks a lot better next gen in motion, because those screens don't look too flattering.

PS4 version looks better. But last gen is not bad at all.

I guess there must be a big difference in motion because if someone would have showed me one of these images I couldn´t guess which version it was. The PS4 images looks a bit sharper, but that´s it sadly.

PS4 vs PS3 comparison threads always remind me of the find the 7 errors cartoons in newspapers but for this one at least I can easily spot the differences!

What even in these images

Less vegetation in PS3

Far worse Aliasing

Worse texture qualitu

Far far blurrier

Overall resolution far worse

Lighting worse

Lower quality shadows

And more

Either some of you have horrible vision or u guys dont know what your looking at. And these are still images that arent very good. Ive uploaded much better ones.

Lol. PS3 so fuzzy^^
Like playing without glasses.

Of course people will not see a big difference if they look at them at the same shitty resolution. A lot of people seem afraid to actually look at both images in full screen.

I think the problem is thats some check the screens in the op without looking at them in full screen. If they have only a small monitor (maybe laptop or even worse, they check them on a phone or tablet), they have probably really problems to see any difference. If you look at it on a decent sized monitor from normal viewing distance, the difference should be pretty obvious in full-screen.

I think this picture is a huge difference on both consoles (but still not impressive on PS4)

The PS4 ones obviously look better, but the PS3 owners arent missing out on anything. Thats a good thing though.

Yh, i thought that until I saw them in motion. More noticeable in my case cause I no longer have a PS3 but a friend of mine does. After putting a couple of hours into the game I went over to his place and he just finished downloading his. Seeing the PS3 version in motion after seeing the PS4 version makes the PS3 version an eyesore. First off it looks like the entire image is too soft and flat, and in some cases like you are looking through galsses with vaseline obscuring your vision. Then its how stagnant the entire thing is compared to the PS4 version. Where on the PS4 foilage and rags or fabrics in the enviroment sway in the wind on the PS3 these things are just fixed in place.

But atlas, people getting it for a PS3 wouldn't know what they are missing so no harm there.

Very small difference between the two...heck, even the draw distance looks that same. The differences, I'm sure, well become more apparent when you compare the games in motion, though.
