To my knowledge a lot of the big PC games that we see today appeal mostly to the western audience such as blizzard games taking the top spots and the next popular publisher for PC games being EA. 

I would imagine that most of the Japanese gamers would end up being alienated by the platform as they wouldn't be interested in western culture centric games. What is popular about PC gaming in Japan are the dating sims, visual novels, and adult games but even then these games have a smaller audience compared to consoles. The most popular gaming platforms in Japan so far are portables such as the 3DS and to some extent the vita. 

Since "hate" is a strong word this begs another question of whether Japanese gamers loathe PC gaming in general or just simply discontent with it.

The only popular MMORPGs I can think of in Japan are FF XIV and PSO 2 ...

I think PC gaming is somewhat limited to MMOs in Japan and their own, well, strange games, to put it that way. I lack knowledge about it thought so I might as well be wrong.

Japanese 3rd party support is best on handhelds and they can't just keep ignoring PC gamers from the West, besides I want to see FF XV badly on PC. 

You should ask Hideki Kamiya I hear (from Kotaku) he speaks for all of Japan.

For Japanese MMOs don't forget Dragon Quest X. I honestly don't know too much about their PC market.
