Poor people, I'm sure that they would love to shop at a better place if they had a choice.
Also, what's the big deal. Money stays in state, taxes are paid, WalMart workers earn their living by selling to them. It's not like they are buying American companies, firing employees and relocating to China.
It is appaling how racism is still present in the US, and just because people are a bit darker skinned and don't speak English, they automatically need be ostracized from the society.

1. Just because someone doesn't speak English doesn't mean they are illegal.

2. In order to get an EBT card you need to be a legal resident of the United states.

Having a job, sadly, is no guarantee that you don't also need an EBT card. Most of my coworkers at the gas station use them (hell, the only reason i don't is that my parents still pay all my grocery bills, but i'm also not working full time).

Yeah, EBT is awarded to people who qualify as being around or below a certain % of the FPL (Federal Poverty Level).  Even folks who work 40 hours a week can qualify depending on their salary, rent, electricity/gas/heat/etc and dependents.

And the proof is....where?

I work really hard at my job, and I barely am able to stay afloat with rent, utilities, and groceries. At the same time, I have to be honest about the situation, and say that I do not want nor would I feel entitled to an EBT card, because that would enable me to not have to work towards a better quality of life. It would keep me complacent, because I would be just comfortable enough to keep doing what I'm doing and not be in any particular rush to change my situation.

If you subsidize something, you get more of it. I find it deeply offensive and immoral that some of my hard-earned tax dollars are given to people to buy KFC and Taco Bell, or go to a liquor store and buy Funyuns or Ben & Jerry's with their EBT card, and then use their cash to purchase tobacco or alcohol. That is gross abuse of a system that was originally intended to only be used to help people who were in dire straits and needed a temporary leg up so they weren't starving to death. You would not believe how many people walking into grocery stores are buying junk food, ice cream, drink mixers, candy, etc with their EBT. It is meant for people who literally can't afford groceries, not to allow people to eat junk food, contribute to their obesity, and enable them to not work harder to make a better life for themselves or their families. People who DON'T abuse food stamps, and actually use the money appropriately, should be outraged at all of the abuse that calls into question the entire system. Why is there not more outrage? It is maddening.

Oh, and did you know that in certain states, like Michigan where I live, there are now EBT cards with cash allowances, which means you can go to an ATM and WITHDRAW CASH, at which point what little control there was over the use of the funds is then completely gone, and you can literally use it on whatever you please.

Illegals don't pay tax as they are unregistered. And some immigrants wire their salaries home.

That being said, there is no proof that these people are illegals.
