Thanks for the recommendation, I just chose and redeemed DKCR. I haven't bought Tropical Freeze yet so this will tide me over until I do.

I'm between buying one 3DSXL or 2 2DSs actually -- one for me, the other for my wife (So we both can play Pokemon).

Whenever I've tried a 3DS, I could never get the 3D effect to work right for me. Only exception was with Kid Icarus Uprising. The form factor of the 2DS seems more "right" to me as well.

If you're comfortable with the form, then the 2DS may be right for you. Personally though I can't stand it: not only does it not feel "right" in my hands, but it's not exactly portable either. Since I often use my 3DS away from home, this is a deal breaker. I suppose if it's going to stay home though, and you like how it feels, then the 2 2DS plan is probably superior.

This is why I'm glad I don't rush out and buy every game as soon as it releases. I'd be mad if I already owned all these games, or the ones I'm interested in.

Guess I'll get DKCR3D. Was trying to decide on Wii or 3DS, now my choice has been made.

I liked the physical collector's items. Like the Luigi's Dark Moon figure from last year. Disappointing Nintendo.

Exactly. It's a conflict of interest: you got to platinum because you probably bought a ton of games, the majority of them likely Nintendo games. So why would Nintendo offer the games we either already bought, or didn't buy because we weren't interested enough? Luckily for me, I held off on getting a couple that I'm interested in.

It would have been better if we just got a certain amount of eShop credit or something, or even better, a free amiibo when they launch.
