Why do you say that?

Considering Mario Kart so 2m in one month on an install of 6.5m thats pretty good to me..

Also the fact the mk is the 3rd best selling game this year, soon to be 2nd

I'm talking about mario 3d world. I'm not quite sure, but even if mk8 numbers are great they seem far low compared to previous games. Anyway, DKC was expected to do poorly, wii u has a really low userbase and like many people said before, there are just too many platformers, Those are the reasons why sells bad... but I guess its ok if the game profited.

Just a nitpick on MK8: although I do agree it probably won't do as well as past iterations, I'd say you ought to wait for lifetime sales, especially since Nintendo games tend to have very long legs :)

I own a Wii-u and I forgot the game existed.

Cause it was a platformer in a sea of platformers, it didn't matter how great of a game it is, it didn't really matter... Its like eating Chocolate after finishing a Chocolate Cake, you just dont care enough even if the Chocolate is good

And yet, two of the upcoming games on Wii U are also platformers...  I think Nintendo is having a bit of a crisis at the moment.  It's like they're compensating for the difficulty of HD developing by making everything a platformer.  I'm surprised Zelda wasn't one.

Because it is a game almost nobody was asking for or wanted... On hardware that is stuck in a rut...

Platformer oversaturation, small install base, disappointment that it wasn't Metroid.

All of the above. Plus there are other platformers on the system which are better.

It looks like a great game and I will definitely buy it when I get a Wii U, but I'm not doing that until a Wii U Zelda title has been published for the console.

WWHD?

WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?!

Wait besides Yoshi what is the other platformer?

Though e3 did offer a lot of variety

like Zelda being open world adventure, Sonic boom being an action beat em up, Smash Bros being Fighting, Star Fox being on rail shooter, and splatoon being a third person shooter

Yep I'm aware of that. I'm thinking a safe bet for the game is 5M at least, that could change depending on the effect of Smash/zelda and how many years Nintendo is willed to support the system.
