If only you knew how much I was holding back.  This may be hard to believe but I was really going out of my way to be as brief as I could because I knew there were quite a few points I wanted to cover.

Well, it wasn't really for anyone in particular.  I mean, it was kind of for AZW - since he's the one I was offering to show it to - but it was open for anyone to give their reaction.

Wait, what?  It did?  Are you talking about the explanation leading up to the breakdown, or the breakdown itself?

If you mean the explanation, I don't know what to tell you.  I really was trying to be as concise as possible.  I'm not saying I was necessarily successful but... like I said, I was really holding back.

Now, if you mean the breakdown itself seemed like the same thing over and over, that's understandable.  And that's part of the problem.  As I stated in that post, the differences between some categories are subtle.

When I was trying to figure out how to best organize the list, I wanted to find a relatively simple way to categorize the games, but the deeper I got into it, the clearer it became that it just wasn't going to be possible for what I wanted to do.  I could have stuck with, say, the four basic categories but that would have lumped together many games that I think can reasonably be divided into distinct groups.

But yes, the categories do say many of the same things over and over.  That's because many of them share the same conditions, with only small differences separating them.  At a glance, I can understand much of it looking the same.  It is my hope that when they're actually read through, the differences will be self-explanatory.  If they aren't, please ask me and I'll explain.

Heh!  Sorry about that.  I actually warned at the start that I was just posting the breakdown for now, and not the lists themselves as they're still a work in progress.  On re-reading, though, I don't think I was clear enough about that. :-/

Anyway, that was kind of the point.  I wanted to make sure that the format itself wasn't going to confuse everyone before posting it with a shite-load of games attached.

Thanks, bud.  I appreciate it.  My primary concern is that the breakdown is understandable.  So, if there's anything you don't follow, just ask.

I mean, I'm pleased to hear your read it, but did you understand how it works?  That was kind of the point of posting it in the first place.  I want to make sure that people can follow the basic structure of the breakdown before I post it with a huge list of games.  It defeats the purpose of making the list if it's too confusing.
