It's not really musou. It's a bit more like kingdom hearts. As you you progress you encounter different types of enemies that require different strategies.

I bought it on Tuesday. Sadly, I won't be playing it until I finally finish Pirate Warriors 1 and 2. My backlog....

One Piece was probably the best thing written for children/teen until W7. Water 7 was too good for the serie, it was so good it almost killed it. The suite was really meh. W7 was too hard to follow for Oda.

Have you read the Dress Rosa Arc?! It started out slow but now it's rivaling (if not beating) W7

Yup, but to me it did not come close to Water 7. Water 7 is one of the best shit I've ever read. And I wasn't a huge fan of One Piece back then. It was just way too much powerful. Alabasta come second and Jaya come third. Jaya was the shit, with the biggest climax and punch i've ever seen in a manga.

When I talk about W7 I do not include the whole shitty mess Enies Lobby was. To me W7 end after they beat the giant wave while being in the train.

Playing on 3ds and I recommend it.

As to what you do its kind of hard to explain you might want to look up a video. Basically you're mainly battling fishing catching bugs and collect materials. You can work on expanding your towns facilities and upgrading your items. It's setup somewhat like Monster Hunter if you've played that.
