Philosophically speaking the beat selling console is not the best. It is the most popular. Popularity does not equal quality. There are countless examples of pop culture that I will not reiterate.

Hence concepts such as best console, most sold, top-10 etc are invalid. Popularity is subjective. There is no objectivity. Quality is objective but you ought to have an objective metric. 

So who is objective enough and what are the metrics? None....

Hence why dont you say instead of best...I enjoy the most. That is a valid argument. Noone can argue with YOUR sense of fun.

And in this context the only objective metric of fun is time spent on something. If you dont enjoy you dont play. If you enjoy you do.

So come on fanboys of all denominations. Look deep inside yourselves for the truth of gaming. The only truth is time. Which game have you spent the most time on? That is YOUR best game.

For some, it's not enough to "win" or have fun. They want to rub it in your face. Even the idea that you THINK you're having fun with something they don't like pisses them off. They want to somehow prove that, not only are they having more fun, the thing you enjoy is shit. Just ignore it and enjoy what's best for you.

My best game? Super Street Fighter 4. Still going strong!

This is why we can only assess the success of a console by its sales. Philosophy, is irrelevant to the matter.

It doesn't matter how much consoles sell because PC will always outnumber them.

This year Titanfall unlocked all but 3 achievements and got to rank 10 never prestiged before on any COD game!

But now I'm playing windwaker on my new wii U  Never played this zelda game beat OOT, TP, SS. didnt play MM either.

So far this game is great! 

My most played game ever is easily Smash Bros Brawl ^.^

Recently I have mostly been playing RDR, but I really don't like it very much so time is certainly not perfectly fair

PC out numbering them as gaming rigs sold, or work stations? I built a gaming rig 3 or 4 years ago its like my wii it doesnt get much use! Crysis, Halo2. 

"I enjoy the most" takes a lot longer to type out than "best"
