thank you!

on topic, I am glad they delayed it - there are so many games in the later half for wii u - i was afraid that it was getting get drowned

I think you make a valid point. The other systems are less concerned with that because facing Nintendos big guns at Christmas time likely would hurt - maybe. If Ubisoft was given the benefit of the doubt holding back Watch Dogs, which was speculated as part of their rationale...not to mention after Christmas means larger installed base to sell to. Still, I hope 3rd parties start to return a bit...at least more Japanese developers.

That's a fair point, I suppose. It's the closest comparison we have at the moment. The Wii U version was released at the time as other versions, it ran as good if not better than the PS3 and 360 versions, and it contained all of the same content.

The people that play AC games on Wii U only seem do it because they don't have other systems. The Wii U owners that bought AC3 as their first AC game were probably disappointed by the series.

The Wii U version of AC4 had framerate issues (mid twenties and worse than PS3/360), but it was still playable and better than Watch_Dogs on Last Gen.

Why was there so much optimism for a Wii U version in the first place? They've never shown any Wii U gameplay as far as I know. The only gameplay I've seen was from PCs. This is one benefit the Sony/MS approach this gen: easy PC ports. Sadly, the same can't be said for the Wii U.

It's a bit sad that people who really want a game would boycott because they have to wait a few months. It's not like there are alternatives on the console which was the reason for all the WIi U interest to begin with. Oh well, to each, his own.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

My last hope... gone. My Wii U officially evolved into a First-Party-console. I am tired of this shit. That was the last game I didn't expect to be delayed. Thank you 3rd party developers. Thank you for nothing.

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.

Lol why not just forget the wii u version, probably only sell 1,000 copies anyway

Wanna take a bet?

Given how a lot of people on here are like, I doubt he meant that literally.  If he did, he's not even worth betting against.

Using the poll cannonballZ linked, I can't fathom why they would delay the console game that has the most potential buyers. There's definitely more to the story.

I'm actually really sad it isn't releasing at the same time, was going to be an interesting case study on how much those kind of polls pertain to actual sales results and how well a WiiU game can do when it has no excuses not to.

Just take a look at Assassin's Creed 4 for your answer.

AC4 on Wii U was a horrible port and came out late in PAL regions.

My attitude toward this is exactly the same as my attitude towards Watch_Dogs and the theoretical possibility of a Wii U version of Destiny released next year.

If they put in effort to make it a great game on Wii U, include all content from other versions plus some extra (such as content that was DLC for the other versions, but made free and included in Wii U version), and sell it at a reasonable price (rather than charging full price at a time when the other versions are less than half that without having somewhere near twice the content), then I'll pick it up.

If they half-arse it, skip content and/or DLC, or try to sell it at full price without sufficient new content to justify it, then I might pick it up eventually, when it hits the bargain bins.

In short, if they don't treat me, as a customer, with respect, then I won't support them.

It's a bit of slap in the face considering the WiiU version was announced before the XB1 and PS4 versions.

As for whether I'll buy it now, see Aeilyn's post above.

Amen.

Corporations can only disrespect you if you let them.

If I don't get the service I want, I don't give them my money, simple as that.

well, I can wait to get it thats for sure. But then the game will cost $60 while all other versions $20-$30... I could buy it on my PC, but I wanted the wiiU version.
Oh well, nothing to really be worry about, they will just cancel the game anyway.

Edit: Same as watchdogs, I bet both are actually cancelled as of right now.
