Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do people still care about Trophies / Achievements ?

No. Not when I buy. Not when I play.

A little bit as i got to make fun of my friends who spent so much time collecting blast shards in Infamous while themselves hating the experience.

They no more care about trophies anymore. So, less fun for me.

its funny, Most of the ps3 generation I cared alot for them and actively hunted them. but soon as I got my ps4 I havnt looked at a list for any game I bought. Which im happy for because I can just play a game however I want

I wont play a crappy game to get trophies but if I like a game i wil try and platinum it. If it is a grindfest though I will just say meh fuck it I got the ones I like.

I like to compare trophies against my friends and see who has the most trophies for what game. It can get really competitive when someone has about the same amount of trophies as you do.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I don't care much about trophies. I just play the game, unlock trophies naturally, complete the game and see if there's any other I can unlock to stay ahead of my friends. If I can unlock the platinum, I do it. Other than that, I don't obsess over them or try to be overly competitive. I go by my own pace.

I never cared about them in the first place, the majority are useless back patting for high caliber achievements, such as finishing a stage. *golf clap*

if my trophies can be traded by psn credits. or even avatars
if not. not interested. at least miiverse stamps are less useless.

Yeah I love them. If I like a game I'll often try to go for the challenging trophies as it is something to work towards. It's a great way for devs to set milestones for their games. Basically the same as having in game completion percentage.

No. Unless its INGAME ones that actually mean something, aka, more than a collectible.

It's a personality thing, really. Some people like them, some people don't. I'm all about creating my own goals, creating a challenge for myself with little regard for what others do. So achievements haven't ever appealed to me. I'm not one to follow directions (that didn't go so well on dissection day in biology class)
