Price drop to $350 before the holidays. You know it is coming.

If they don't sell at $325, what makes you think they will sell at $350?

Hell, if the offer stood for at least two years I would do it. Did not see the offer yesterday on 360. No need for a ps4, ps3,360 and X1 for me now. Most games are multiplat.

Cool, so along with the game you already get you get another 75 to buy another game. I guess maybe I should've waited on buying an Xbone with all the good offers and everything they keep having.

this is a really good deal. basically makes the console 325$. and to think just a few months ago it was 499$.

I saw what you did there...

See, outlawauron, that's why point 3 supports my argument. Having full multiplatform third party support doesn't guarantee sales. Kinect has been removed and the price will keep dropping, but it still won't prevent failure.

But it does guarantee sales. What would xb one be selling of it had the third party support WiiU is getting? Probably half the sales it's getting now. But 3rd part support can't turn a turd into a snickers bar.

Didn't they offer $100 for PS3 trade ins the one time? Guess even Microsoft knows the 360 is less valuable than the PS3....

I kid! I kid! XD

Seriously though, it's a nice offer, but why would you give up a huge library of games for a much smaller one? If the Xbone had backwards compatibility, this would actually be an AMAZING deal. But it doesn't, so it isn't, at least from my perspective. It's something though, and certainly not a bad idea. The bad idea was not having backwards compatibility, but it's too late for that.

Come to think of it, why hasn't Nintendo tried this yet with the Wii? $50 towards a Wii U if you trade in your Wii would be awesome! It'd be an upgrade to the library instead of a downgrade, a way to cut the Wii U to $250 at a time when they could use a price cut but can't afford one, and would serve another purpose by getting the word out that the Wii U is indeed a new console. The average consumer still doesn't always know that. What are you waiting for, Nintendo?!?

Still too much for me. I know Microsoft gets ya with their overpriced (necessary) addons, and poor consumer treatment in general. It is the only company from which I will never buy a console again because of the companies business practices. Sony and Nintendo I will buy consoles from based on the merit of the console, but Microsoft is too crony for my taste.

Probably because Nintendo would have a hard time reselling the Wiis. Not much demand for them when you can get a Wii U refurbished for just $100 more, with a free game.

Well, it's time to get a Xbox One...

This is only a limited offer, and only to select clients.

This has less to do with a temporary sales boost, and more do with locking in their best customers from deciding to buy a PS4 this fall.

I am sure MS has tracked their best customers (money spend/hours played on Live) and watched if they upgraded to XBox One, or stopped playing on Live (went to Sony for new generation). They want to keep the gamers who buy 10+ games a year over the people who just buy the yearly CoD game.

Because of this promotion, I am guessing they saw a large shift of these gamers to PS4, and wanted to keep them locked into XBox before Destiny came out.

Wow, this is a suprisingly good explanation/analysis of the situation.

10 bucks your right....It would explain why not everyone is getting the offer, and also why on the promostion it is saying stuff about being one of thier "best" customers.

And when Microsoft did this promotion with PS3s, do you really think they were reselling them? Of course not! They were using them for spare parts! And that's what Nintendo could do with such an offer.
