Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft giving Xbox 360 Owners $75 With the Purchase of an Xbox One

Looks like Microsoft decided that a number of Xbox 360 owners require some nudging in order to upgrade to the Xbox One, so they’re sending a promotion that gifts them with a $75 promotional code if they purchase an Xbox One or Xbox one Bundle.

Basically, those that received the promotion will be able to get a free game and a portion of another to start out their current-gen collection.

It’s worth mentioning that, while many are reporting having received the promotion, apparently not everyone did (I sure didn’t), and that whether you already have an Xbox One or not doesn’t really matter to the possibility of receiving it. In order to check out if you’re affected, all you have to do is to turn on your Xbox 360 and connect to Live.

You can check out two screenshots of the promotion just below, courtesy of NeoGAF user BeforeU.

Cool, so along with the game you already get you get another 75 to buy another game. I guess maybe I should've waited on buying an Xbone with all the good offers and everything they keep having.

First thing that popped into my head lol.

They're saving a lot of money by limiting this offer to July.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Give it another year and they'll be paying you $399 to take one off them.

Another stealth price cut, can we especulate that perhaps kinectless haven't move as much hw as ms expected?
Imagine having all the promos at once. Trade in a ps3 while being a x360 gamer for the TF bundle??

X1+FM5+TF+live(1y) for 450 with basically 170 rebate. That would make the core of the console cost you 100 bucks, best deal ever.

I think it is safe to just say it now. Microsoft are desperate to sell their console.

Got to sell their consoles somehow

this is a really good deal. basically makes the console 325$. and to think just a few months ago it was 499$.

Man, if MS has achieved anything with the XB1 launch so far its to drive home to consumers the message of never buying their next console within the first year. I know consoles always get cheaper and early adopters miss out, but damn, to go from $499 with no pack in games and kinect that will quickly become useless now that its optional to effectively $325 (35% price reduction) in the space of 7 months is unprecedented. It must being doing a number on their financial planning for the E&D division.
