i would like to point out that we still have no clue if the dlc comes out at the same time or first on ps.

i also think that this was just the thing that pushed xbox fans over. since ps fans get alpha, longer beta, exclusive/timed content from the get go, and now exclusive/ timed for the dlc. xbox get the game and the waiting game

I have seen a lot of rage and hate on GAF, but that does not mean much. I hated this practice last gen, now I say it is a practical and neccisary evil.

honestly,..  B) is the better senario imo.

A) i can't play plants vs. zombies garden warfare at all until six months late.

vs.

B) xbox fans can play destiny the same day i do but have to wait a bit for 1 map pack.

 

would you rather have full access to destiny but have destiny miss the holiday's on xbox?   how would that not be waaaaaaaaaay more damaging to xbox.

I agree that it is probably a better strategy, but it just comes off more shady, if that makes sense?

i dunno.  maybe a bit but then why is no one complaining that batman AK getting fully exclusive content on playstation.  the game will cost the same on both systems so xbox owners are paying the same price for less game and won't even get access to it eventually.    ..and what about minecraft.  ..and assassin's creed.  ..and la noire.   ...and xcom.

well you can alway play a bit of titanfall while waiting.

i think the reason people dont complain about exclusive content is because its easier to pretend it doesnt exsit, but with timed we know its locked away until they say so

it sucks, don't really know what else to say about that...

like others in the thread have said, this probably strikes home a little bit more for xbox fans because it is bungie, the savior of the xbox brand...

nah mcc will replace this game when it comes out

MS gets both games...

Irrelevent from a business perspective. What matters is which will have a bigger impact to console and game sales, and at this stage looking at the hype and the pre-orders, its looking like the Destiny investment will give the better return.

this isn't marketing, it is taking money for timed exclusive content to mitigate the risk of their 500 million dollar investment.
