It's the map and strike mission that are exclusive that probably gets most of the people upset... |
so they have to wait a while. like i've never had to wait thanks to ms's money hat. what goes around comes around.

Sure there are the COD and Halo crowd, but Im not sure theyll ditch those games or split their time between them and Desitiny. Also, are you sure theres no micro-transactions? |
pretty sure, yes. Unless you consider the two expansion packs micro-transactions.
online gaming is one of the primary things people do with consoles these days, unless you are on nintendo consoles I guess... Still, all signs point to destiny being a huge success and having a lasting impact. Perhaps the game doesn't interest you, and thats fine, but it has a pretty large fanbase already and it hasn't even released yet. By the end of the gen, I wouldn't be surprised if it is more popular than call of duty.

like I said earlier in the thread, I think it is more of the fact that they are taking their money when they get the dlc, but making them wait to play all of the content. It is kind of a dick strategy. If they are going to have timed dlc, I think it would be better if they made them wait for all of it rather then taking their money and making them wait for the content. It does suck for those xbox gamers that pay the same price as playstation gamers for the dlc, but don't get everything that they paid for for like a year or so...

You mean like when PlayStation gamers pay for DLC season passes and have to wait for months on end to play when they paid at the same time as Xbox gamers?

At this point it seems obvious to me that its only getting an xbox release to maintain a sense of uniformity, if you ask me I'd pretty much say Bungie have put their best eggs in playstations basket, and their rotten ones in Microsoft's basket.
At least xbox fans get to play it, sands a few skins/perks, can playstation fans play titanfall? not yet and unless they bundle the first with 2, they probably wont get to either.
And then, to be flat out honest, I don't think anyone but the xbox-only crowd really care if the xbox version fails miserably, anyone genuinely enthusiastic about the game are getting it for PS4, and it's going to show, blatently, in the first months sales.
Feel free to quote me on that come september.
Destiny is going to be massive, everyone in the alpha knows it, and I think the xbox fans mad over the DLC/exclusivity know it too, making them all the more angry.

well, if by months on end you mean month, then kind of yes. That is the issue with paying for a season pass. This approach has the actual dlc come out (with the extra content, but locked for xbox gamers) at the same time, for the same price. Then after a year, the content unlocks and the xbox gamer can play the content that he paid for a year ago...

COD isn't the only game that Xbox has where content was missing for months. Not just one month.
I'm not trying to rag on Xbox at all. I'm just not sympathizing with the hate Destiny is getting from the Xbox crowd when Microsoft moneyhats games all the time. Sony banked on a big game and it's paying off...now the masses are in an uproar. Maybe it's like what another poster said. He said maybe it's because it's Bungie, I don't know.
Can you please tell me in your own words why this is happening, or why this is wrong for Activision to do? I mean I really want to know.
