... and to be honest, after all the that has been said about the game, I'm enjoying it far more then expected. I bought a PS4 this week with only that game so far and I have a few PSN games as well. 

Graphics: 9/10

At first I wasn't really shocked. Everything seemed average however after a while and returning to previous gen you really see the big difference. And the smooth framerate makes me enjoy both SP and MP.

Gameplay: 9/10

A Killzone game as expected gameplay wise although an even heftier feeling would be my preference. MP gameplay is different and I really enjoy it. Unfortunate that not more people are playing the MP

Story: 6/10

Really lacking, not a structure although certain points by knowing the Killzone history (as a fan like me) makes it help though.

Sound: 9/10

Wow, most amazing part of the game I think. Sound is for me really important just like smooth gameplay without any bugs. 

Overall: 8/10

yeah its really good. and for some reason people keep downplaying the gameplay. MP is really fun.

infamous is a better game however.

Will I be able to get the story if I haven't played the previous games?

yeah. they explain what you need to know in the start of the story. story is pretty weak though so it wont really matter. 

Yeah, I enjoyed my time in the game. I'm not a huge online FPS fan, but I still had some fun online

But it really is stunning, if it's not full price it's definitely worth a look

inFamous Second Son is the best game to show your system off though if you ask me

Really enjoyed Killzone SF, both SP and MP, the latter even more. That said I hope we'll get one more Killzone on the Ps4 that will go back to the roots, which for me means a WW2 game at heart with a Sci Fi skin.

Was playing it got to Chapter 2 and pretty much beat the level and it froze. Tried it again... Same result. And again... Will maybe buy another one down the road. Gameplay was fun, seemed more strategic in nature than some other FPS on the market. you run in guns blazing and you're dead. You definitely have to utilize the arrow commands with the scouting arrow and the helper machine thing...

Although Infamous SS... :) Didn't like the first one... skipped the second one, but this one is very solid. Short though, but the gameplay and graphics are nice. Also enjoying the story as well. And I really like Delsin, not sure why people hate him apparently. Sorry for going off topic.

Yes, you´ll understand the game however the story isn´t told in a good way. You´ll understand the situation, what is going on, the conflict etc. but you the characters are dull. It´s like you play just a soldier following orders without any reasoning (which is normal actually for soldiers I guess) but that doesn´t help the story itself. Still it isn´t that bad as people are trying to make it look like and with the great gameplay you´ll definitely enjoy it. MP is better though.

It was a bad game IMO and I returned it a week after I bought it. I hope Sony finally drops the franchise and moves on.

I will get it soon. I expect more from that game and I have both the previous games as well. 

My main game for the system will be Destiny though that releases soon in september. I will get The Last of Us, GTA V, LBP3 and DriveClub in the next couple of months too. 

My most anticipated game is Uncharted 4!
