I don't know about you guys, but I don't trust this kind of videos.
Of course AMD is going to promote Mantle.

Let's just wait for more actual unbiaised comparisons.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

Senior Technical Marketing Specialist AMD... sounds unbiased

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Saw it. 2 fps vs 55 fps. Is the difference that big?

They used a very weak CPU(most likely some AMD APU) because all mantle does is free the CPU of tasks.
If they used a gaming CPU from Intel(like in most gaming rigs) the difference wouldn't be nearly as big. That's why they chose a very CPU heavy simulation. You will not see that kind of difference in games where the GPU is the bottleneck(aka all games that matter).

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

It's not that they're using a slow CPU, it's that they're using the GPU for the AI. For compute+rendering Mantle must be faster than DirectX. Most games will not use this though.
