does the dutch also account for the flemish speaking in belgium?

I would assume so considering there are two figures for it. Are the languages that different?

Not a bigger difference than us english and uk english, or french and belgian french.

it would be interresting if we could this for every big genre... im pretty sure germany is a simulator country and uk is fps land...

Wow, I didn't know Chinese games made that much money.

Tencent is the biggest editor in the world, ahead of Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, EA, A-B, etc. But classic Western editors don't see the money ^^ Completly different market and playing habits.

Wow, this whole time I never even heard of Tencent, yet having just looked it up it's apparently the 4th biggest company in the world! O.O

Thanks for this chart, it was interesting and enlightening. If Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo were to figure out how to break into that market, they could make insane amounts of money! If they could get China into console gaming, we'd have to put a new region up on the front page of VGC!

Really cool chart, it's interesting to see the breakdowns. How many of us game in multiple languages? I play in English mainly, but on rare occasions in Dutch (Flemish) too.
