Yeah all those "google rocks" is very helpful for OP and the ones interested.

What's the engine that duckduckgo uses, is it Bing?

I changed my email to gmx, it's a free one and probably won't encrypt the data as you want, but it's decent and I like it.

It uses tons of other engines, from Wikipedia to Yahoo to Wolfram Alpha, which results in (imo) and absolute mess of search results. Google still gets the most relevant results, and is much cleaner in doing so.

To OP: If you absolutely need privacy, get a paid VPN. There is really no other alternative. A VPN will encrypt all of your traffic, so you won't have to worry about websites snooping you.

That being said, don't bother with the free ones.

Get off the Internets, live in the woods and communicate using ravens.

Just make sure they don't track your ravens!

I don't give them cookies.

Dunno about email.

You should use that search engie from that small, independent Company.... Bing from MS I think is the name :).

It's odd because vgchartz is the same way for me,as far as loading goes. It does'nt matter what you do,people are going 2 get your data one way are another. ads don't personally bother me. I don't mind them at all.
