No IMAX where i live so i am going to see it in glorious 2D(or not at all)

Digital 3D might be an umbrella term for all other plastic glasses 3D.

Just 3D, refers to those cheap $5 theaters that probably use paper glasses, since they only charge $1 extra for 3D.

3D IMAX

3D Premium Large Format

So... Real D and Digital 3D are the same, then? I see.

Also, I had no idea there were still cinemas that actually use those paper glasses, lol.

That sucks, but what about "Premium Large Format"?

For example:

Cinemark XD

Rave XTREME

And etc.

 

If there are any theaters that have their own version of IMAX, then you should go to those. They even show non-IMAX movies in their version of IMAX, which also has the giant screen and advance surround sound & advance seating, plus guarantee 4K digital projectors.
