well.. imagine if it wasn't a typo.. the heads that would spin..
im guessing we'll hear something soon enough from Sony, maybe? Apparently many other media outlets picked up on the numbers and now articles are coming out of the woodwork. MS already came out and verified that the numbers Harrison mentioned are the same shipped numbers MS released awhile back. Still waiting on Sony for verification..

If the numbers were true all someone from Sony would have to do is answer the hundreds of the same question they've been getting with a simple "yes".

well.. i don't know what Sony's intentions are, but my guess would be that they want to hit the 10 mil mark before officially announcing something.  I know both MS and Sony were spouting numbers after what seemed like every million milestone at the beginning, but both basically went silent after April.  Could very well be that they are waiting for greater milestones than just announcing every additional million in sales.  Just like how Sony didn't make any announcements after hitting 8 mil.  There does come a point where every million announcement can come off as being too arrogant.. but like i said, i don't know what they plan on doing..  Also with TGS and Gamescom coming up, Sony could very well be waiting for those shows to make some official announcement. so its basically wait and see unless Sony comes out with an announcement sooner.

if he wants to accuse me of lying to make a weak point he should be grown up enough to take the reply.  if he isnt, then perhaps he shouldnt go there.

Agree with you... and you weren't lying, just mistook the date (altough not for a week but 10 days), but that doesn't change the fact that would be hard to have sold enough to hit 9M on the pace we have seen since there. And it seems that he lost the balls to reply to you as well.

something new to add.. 9 mil seems very probable more so now, even if the numbers are still yet to be officially announced.  considering that Sony recently boasted in a corporate ad about breaking 100 mil total sales in ps4, ps3, and psv;  If that is true, then given what VGC has charted (if VGC numbers are reliable) with ps3 LTD of 82,440,242 and psv LTD of 8,424,963, that leaves ps4 LTD at 9,134,795.  9 mil doesn't seem that far fetched, now does it?

PS3 is undertracked, like 360. Also, could mean shipped.
