Final Fantasy XI

Because i was too young and stupid to understand the concept of "Minimum Requirements."

Eventually was able to pawn it off on a friend who had a better idea of what he was doing, fortunately...

Wait... so you didn't have the PS2 HDD the game required?

Never owned a non-Nintendo console. I had a PC, and bought it because a friend of mine who did have a PS2, and with whom i had played a lot of Phantasy Star Online, was playing it, but i didn't get that my PC couldn't handle it.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I can think of a few games. Lion King GB, Batman Forever GB, and Marvel VS Capcom 3. Those movie games were beyond horrible. Forever was broken on level 1. It had this vertical jump that had to be hit in a certain way. Threw it out. Couldn't stand it. Lion King had bad jumping areas that stopped me advancing. It was stolen. I didn't really care, lol. MVC3 got screwed by the ultimate edition. Wasted $80 on the special edition. Decided to not bother with the series anymore.

II rarely feel disappointed with gaming purchases but Ninety-Nine Nights was one. There wasn't many choices for Japanese titles for tht 360 when it was released so I decided to take a chance with N3. I found it to be pretty shallow. I knew I was going on a limb by picking it up.

PaRappa the Rapper!!! Absolutely horrible!!! I still cant believe I actually used my hard earned money on it.

Wii Music.

To this day, I still have no idea why I bought it...

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu - What the fuck was that game anyways? I only bought it because it was DBZ.

Evergrace - Not terrible but was really boring and depressing. I could feel it draining my life force while playing it.

Nintendogs - What the fuck was I thinking? Maybe I thought it was cool to yell stuff at a dog through a mic.

Shadow the Hedgehog - Really good and fun game but I literally beat it in a day, which is pretty fucking sad.

Xbox 360. I played Alan Wake on it and literally that was it. Great game but not really worth the nearly $300 I paid for the system. I ended up giving it away to a coworker because theirs got the RROD.

hmmm i dont really regret my game purchases but i guess i can say a few through out the years...

-Dynasty warriors 6, i really enjoy DW on Ps/PS2 But DW6 was unbearable even for DW standards. The only game i've ever traded in in my life!
-Pokemon Stadium, The game sucked and was super disappointed as a kid, apart from the mini games.
-Marvel Super heroes vs capcom, i remember paying quite a bit of money for the game but it was a watered down version from the arcade because the ps couldnt handle the game. Still love the game but was super disappointing.
- Wii, Most disappointing Nintendo system that gathers dust. (this one i dont regret since it had some great games like Mario galaxy, No more heroes, Mad world and even Zelda SS)

-Gameboy Pocket, LOL this one it silly. When i was a kid i know Gameboy colour was out but i asked for a pocket for christmas instead....

There's been many. But two probably take the cake.

1. Star Fox Assault. Because I was sold a bullshit bill of goods from the early trailers of it being a legit (see awesome) SF64 sequel, and what it wound up being was badly made (outside of the first two levels) pile of donkey dicks. Quite possibly my single biggest gaming disappointment of all time.

2. Mario & Sonic Olympics. The first one. I just impulse bought it, because, you know, I assumed, fuck, it's the FIRST game to have Mario and Sonic together, and look at Wii Sports. It was super easy to pick up and play, very easy controls, and pretty fun to boot. I figured it was a no-brainer that Sega could just provide that kind of experience too. Nope. Not even close. The game was a fuckin chore to play, and half the events the controls just felt straight up broken. I guess I should have known better after having owned Sonic & the Secret Rings, and how wonky IT'S controls were. I didn't expect a great game by any means, but at least a novel, and decently fun one. It wasn't either. So it wound up being the first and I think only game that I've bought and returned in a 48 hour period.
