It was the Xbox 360. Bought it with $600 (expensive in my country) and it got RRoD after few days. Repaired then RRoD again. I regret that purchase till today.

Worst gaming purchase is a recent one. I bought bravely default digitally when it came out because all the hype everybody in europe was giving it here. Holy crap do I disagree with anybody that thinks this game is good. Biggest piece of turd game I have ever played... And i bought it digitally so I cant even trade it in...

I payed $3 for it and plyed it for like 20 minutes and never again... Not my kind of game, but it was really cheap so Im nkt too upset about that one
3DO. Expensive and the only worth while game was Road Rash, and the SEGA Genesis versions were better.
My first Android device:
Shitty performance, shitty battery time, shitty Wi-Fi, shitty resistive touchscreen.
Well, it's good enough for some emulators (the buttons are okay), and portable video player (my other portable devices have no HDMI out).
Kirby's Adventure Wii. I regret never doing the research on it. My kids completed it over 4 days and thought it was rubbish.
Second one was the 3DS - why? Because I gave birth 8 years and 3 weeks prior to the release of the 3DS XL, so the inevitable birthday present was only the 3DS. He was never going to wait!
(actually, it's a great purchase, but at the time I really wanted to get the XL)

I thought it would be my kind of game, but it wasn't :(
Glad I didn't pay 40 euros though.
360, bought purely for work with hope i could find games. Yeah... turned out to be a waste
The xenosaga games. Bought all three for little more than the price of one new game at gamestop in a misguided xenogears driven delusion, figuring they had to be good if they stemmed in any way from that game. Holy fuck was I wrong, couldn't even force myself to slog through the first one, leaving me so disillusioned that I never even started the other two.
