Stop with your misinformed crap. Wind Waker HD's music is still using samples just like the original. It's only been remastered to sound better.

I do stand corrected, though it is still greatly improved. I imagine you're more impressed with the "Music was left untouched as it was already pretty much flawless and recorded using proper real instruments" lol.

Sparing no expense with this remake. ^^

There are no less than three people arguably deserving of bans in this thread. So there are two ways this can go. Either it can get on topic right now, people can lay off each other, everyone can stop calling everyone else suckers and morons - or I can hand everyone deserving of a ban a sentence in proportion with their moderation history.

Enough.

Yes, because:

1) The game is over a decade old.

2) The original game was in SD with a 4:3 format. The new game was upgraded to 1080p with a 16:9 format.

3 The character models were completely redone (and not enhanced like TLoU's models)

4) The textures were completely redone

5) The environments were completely redone

6) The music was completely redone by a live orchestra (and not synthesized music from the last game).

7) New console exclusive features were added to the game such as off-screen play, Gamepad inventory system, mii-verse integration, tilt controls for aiming and etc.

8) New items were added to the game

9) Gameplay element fixes were implemented into the game.

10) Pacing in the game had been corrected and made more streamlined.

11) Improved graphics with real-time environment lighting and other effects were added.

You'll have to provide links to support most of what you claimed about the game's graphics.
Especially so, since you're misinformed about a few of the points you tried to put forward. Like the game's music. It's the same as before: It still uses samples. They've only been remastered.

But here are some of the points about The Last of Us:

1: The game is still in high demand, despite being barely over one year old. :D

2: The game is going from 720p with barely any AA, to native 1080p with proper AA.

3: The framerate has been improved from 30fps to a rock solid 60fps, despite the doubling of the resolution and the original not being from 2 console generations ago.

4: In-game character models now match their pre-rendered cut-scenes counterparts.

5: Higher resolution textures.

6: A commentary track has been recorded with the game's director and the two main voice actors, which you can choose to listen as you play the game.

7: Music was left untouched as it was already pretty much flawless and recorded using proper real instruments. ^_-

8: New console exclusive features were added to the game like game session video recording, sharing said video recording with friends, streaming it entirely, or posting it to a video hosting website like youtube. It is yet unknown if any controller specific improvements have been made. So let's not jump to conclusions about them. You can also voice chat with a friend even if they're not playing The Last of Us. =)

9: Every DLCs released for the game so far have been included on this single disc. So much for being such a despicable cash grab, right?

10: Several other gameplay improvements were implemented.

11: Improved shadows and lighting.

This is getting rather annoying shutting people down so many times within a single day.

I'll provide links for each of my points:

5) The environments were completely redone

6) The music was completely redone by a live orchestra (and not synthesized music from the last game).

(This isn't exactly correct, and you were right about this. The music is remastered, but it wasn't redone and most of it is still synthesized)

7) New console exclusive features were added to the game such as off-screen play, Gamepad inventory system, mii-verse integration, tilt controls for aiming and etc.

Now, as far are your points are concerned:

1) I never argued this.

2) This doesn't constitute as a remaster.

3) Refer to response #2

4) The character models are the same ones from the original game, except they've been touched up, and by touched up, that means given higher resolution textures.... That's it.

5) Right....

6) Refer to response #2

7) Refer to response #2

8) This is not a feature provided by the game. This is normal functionality on the PS4.

9) I've never argued this. Also, please refer to response #2

10) Such as what? Please elaborate.

11) I'll give you this one.

Wait... Did you read any of your links?

Here's a part from a link you provided

"Though all other graphicals elements were updated for high-resolution display, the 3D models and character animations of the original game were left untouched in the remake."

And:

"The textures used are the original high-resolution ones created during development of the original game, which used scaled-down versions of the textures to match the Gamecube's hardware capabilities."  They have not been redone. They've used the "not scaled down" versions of what was already created.

Can't be arsed to correct everything that you've written here point by point. But suffice to say that you don't seem to be well informed. At the very least, you should read the links that you provide as proof of what you're claiming. That's like... the basics.

As for what you wrote about The Last of Us, you're basically saying that if Nintendo does it, it's right, and if Nintendo doesn't do it, it's wrong. On basis like this, I don't think there's anything to be gained in discussing anything with you.

Read the other links I've provided. That portion you quoted was incorrect and had been clarified by Aonuma himself in an interview.

Anyway, if you still need more convincing, then look here:

That link wasn't wrong at all. Textures are pretty much the same, but in higher resolution, and the character models and landscape geometry are indeed the exact same. Your video pretty much proves it all. I don't know what you're seeing here. The HD version looks better, sure, but it's not because everything has been redone. Since that's not the case. The higher resolution and new lighting system makes the graphics look better, but it's certainly not the overhaul you're claiming it to be. If anything, your video shows that there's arguably been much more work done for The Last of Us than for Wind Waker HD.

The character models are larger and have been retextured. Something is wrong with your eyes if you can't tell that much.

You'll make any excuse you can to try to convince others that TLoU is a true remaster (which it isn't). I'm sorry, mang. Too much hoove clickery for me. I'm done.

Right click and open it in a new tab to see it in full res. One side is the HD version, the other is the original running upscaled to 1080p on Dolphin.

Thank you. Good night.

Well i just think its going to ps4 because people asked for it and the people who never played it seen the walkthrough or didnt care about it (its been a yr)

The Legend of Zelda: Darkness U

Sony or whoever being lazy
Just because some PS4 owners didn't own a PS3 doesn't mean you can remake a game from a year ago

PS4 is backwards compatible right? If so then that makes this game even more unnecessary

Predictions: PS4: 110m, XB1: 65m, Wii U: 15m, 3DS: 70m, PSV: 15m

Curl - 6 was right about Zelda U never being a wii u exclusive, I should have never bet against him :p
