Forums - Nintendo Discussion - My idea for the Thwii

Hi?

Finally a good idea out of you! 7 25.00%

Run for President Dulfite... 8 28.57%

Dulfite you should develop Megamam legends 3 6 21.43%

It would be better if it was called the iWii 7 25.00%

Total:28

They need to ditch the tablet idea, it's just too expensive and most games do not make enough use to justify the price.

Basically this. To make a handheld run home console games it would cost at least the price of iPads if not more and the market for such an expensive dedicated handheld gaming system is way too small to be profitable.

what did i just read?

What I think they should do is make a decently powerful home console that can compete in terms of power with the PS5/Xbox 4(Two?), and a handheld that's a bit more powerful than the Vita (like how the 3DS is a bit more powerful than the PSP), but both platforms should run the same/almost the same OS (like how both old and new PCs can run Windows 8, and unlike the WiiU and 3DS which have similar looking OSs with drastically different development environments), which accomplishes their goal of unifying platform development without merging the 2 platforms, and this also makes it easy for third parties and especially indies to port their games between platforms, this increasing their potential sales without having to work hard porting from 1 platform to another. Of course more connections should be implemented within the platforms (cross buy, shared virtual console, maybe even let the HDS/whatever have the ability to be used as a controller for the WiiX/better name).

How is it a good handheld when fully opened is as big as the WiiU Gamepad?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Pretty much sounds like a streaming console.  Most people would guess that this gen might be the last for brand specefic consoles.  My guess is that Nintendo will still release another console, but M$ and $ony will go to streaming.  That will depend on how long this generation really lasts.

It is near the end of the end....

It's called Nintendo Fusion and will be released in 2016.

So kinda like I could pick up my 3DS now and turn on my WiiU a few metres from.me and play a WiiU game fully streamed on both 3DS screens so I don't lose any functionality? Cos if I can do that next gen fghbrytuudgfhfbcb!!!!!!!!!!

So, the Thwii should be the Vita+ Vita TV?

Also, if you can fold it twice, does that mean it will have 4 screens? Because I'm pretty sure it's impossible to fold a screen.
