I think it's because we were teased with record breaking numbers earlier.

So most people expected the trend to continue.

The differently priced SKU selling more in week 2 makes perfect sense to me, people that give a crap enough to know it was dropping most likely already owned one and the average joe that buys on impulse would need a week or so to notice the new price / respond to advertising.
All consoles will be even lower next week, absolutely nothing notable coming out.

Wii U slowly fading back to pre Mario Kart numbers.
PS4 almost the same so boring.
X1 gets a small increase. Small better than nothing. (All the girls Ryan slept with can relate).
