Just thinking about this. I love open-world sanbox games, and I think many of you do as well. This is a genre dominated by GTA, but I still wanted to know everyone's personal favourites.

To be clear Minecraft isn't an open-world sandbox game. Its simply a sandbox game.

Games like GTA, Assassin's Creed, Infamous, RDR and other similar games can be classified under this genre.

So what are your favourites?

Mine are

On Consoles

GTA V

Quite simply the most amazing game I've ever played, one that finally surpassed 2010's God Of War III for me. Great and huge open-world, many side activities, great graphics, great atmosphere, funny dialogues (but rather poor radio station soundtrack) it had just about everything to make it the best game of all time.

On Handhelds

GTA: Vice City Stories

GTA: Vice City Stories is my 2nd favourite handheld game of all time, only behind GOW: Ghost Of Sparta. The game had an awesome soundtrack, a great open-world, good graphics for a 2006 PSP game and a very vibrant atmosphere. I'd say its better than even the original Vice City. Its only downfall are the story (the overarching narrative) and all the pop-ins and bugs in the game. Still doesn't stop it from being an incredibl;e game though.
