Actually this makes sense now, Peter Moore pulled the same stuff during his departure from Microsoft. Atari just recently stated that they would be making games for the Wii and DS, with WiiWare being a major focus. This explains why he was talking up Nintendo during GDC. It must have been known and planned well before GDC took place.
As for his 40% comment that also made no sense.... Well now that makes sense as well...

Not by Atari, by Nintendo, Atari is just a cover-up for his non-competition provision. I'm betting one-week ban that Ninty will buy Atari by the end of the year.
