Anyone know if there is an upgrade plan for the folks that did buy the game already for the ps3?  last I heard, it was in talks, but nothing concrete yet.  Assuming the game does drop on July 29, I'd figured there'd be more articles about that'd detail this.  lastest one I can find is off a venture beat article back in April.  Dunno if I'd drop another $50 for the game since I already got it for the ps3, but if they did the $10 upgrade like they did with COD, AC, Madden, etc at the beginning of the console launches i'd bite.  But considering it's a "remastered" version which includes all the DLCs too, I'd also bite at $20 max.  Anyone got the skinny?

the game sold like hotcakes on the PS3 and they want it to sell like hotcakes again and they like money so.... I doubt it.

doesnt seem like there will be an upgrade plan sadly.

Wouldn't hold my breath considering PS3 is still quite high in price and Remastered edition comes with DLC included and for 50$. Remastered is simply a good deal now as it is. For those who did not play TLoU, who I assume are the main target, it's a steal.
And if anything I imagine they may cut the price by 10$ as an upgrade plan not drop to 10$.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I doubt the amount of sales Sony is losing from people who want to upgrade but don't want to pay $50 is insignificant.

damn.. that would suck. it's basically saying "FU gimme another $50" for a game people already bought for $60 + DLC last year and even now still. I hope they make an announcement soon to clarify on this. Still got a month to drop hopefully some good news.. as they are "For the Gamers". I love the game, but I'm not spending $125 total for one game. maybe gamestop, bestbuy or some other retailer will to do a trade discount around TLOU remastered release.. crossing fingers. xx

*edit.. just thought about it, but figured by not offering a upgrade/discount plan though, sony's going to have to realize that not many folks are going to make that jump for the same game.  who really owns 2 of the same games nowadays even if they were on different platforms?

**edit edit.. also read somewhere that dlc and saves are transferrable from the ps3 to the ps4.. which makes me think some type of upgrade system is in place.  why mention dlc transfers when the remastered has the dlc included? dunno how accurate source is but makes me wonder..

50 dollars with Dlc is the upgrade program. Yes, it's available to everyone.

maybe for me i would do it if there was. but i dont think they will.

If you don't want to pay the full price then wait for it to drop. Sure, an upgrade program would be lovely, but Sony isn't making you buy the game. I'm buying on day one as I didn't have a PlayStation 3 last generation.
