Yes it does. That call aint up to your kind. Yes and I can't wait to see what 1st party PS3 games come out in 2016 (ps3's 10th year) aside from MLB lol

shouldnt you be asking yourself what games will be coming for the 360 at all?  its funny how you claim the 2014 thing but discredit every year prior.. and even if it's only mlb in 2015.. that's 1 more than anything on the 360. ;)

360 still getting plenty 3rd party support buddy. Im talking the present, you only mention the last 3 years because you are surprised as anybody that MS decided to do late gen support......in its 9th year where as PS3's last great year was in its 7th ;)

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

lol.. tread on bro.. im done with this convo.  a 1 year head start means a 2 year catch up to you.. which means squat now cus both gen8 are already available.  this is akin to me saying well.. it took the 360 10 years to sell 82 mil while it only took the ps4 8.  we'll see which side gets the support beyond 2014.. and when gen 7 finally ceases production, then we can have this conversation again.

Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

All three of the big three need more studios, because they're all suffering in games right now. Microsoft's solution has been to buy a third party exclusive from a third party developer, which gets them nice support, but doesn't really impress anyone. Nintendo's solution has been to stick to their guns and keep pumping out what little they can, which has resulted in a good number of really high quality games, but hasn't really impressed either. Sony's solution has been to get a bunch of smaller teams to make a bunch of tiny indie games and show off big numbers like "40 new PS exclusives coming this year!", which has resulted in a lot of good smaller titles being made and pleasing the indie crowd, but overall also fails to impress. More studios working on more big games could help, but the issue with that is, well, more studios are incredibly expensive. Even Microsoft isn't founding a lot of new studios or even buying them, and they invested a billion dollars in games this gen already. There's really no easy solution to this.

I'm not saying that there's anything bad about PSN downloadable games or anything. It's just that.. Nobody is dropping hundreds of dollars of cash to play a downloadable Indie game. A free to play game is in the same boat. Kresnik, be honest, would you buy a brand new $400 dollar PS4 specifically for a free to play game? Even if you look at the sales each week, you will see that nobody is buying a system for a free to play game.

Nobody bought the system for Untold Legends either.  I was comparing like for like.  An SOE game for an SOE game.

(And to be honest, yeah.  I'm more likely to buy a PS4 because of Planetside 2 than I was to buy a PS3 for Untold Legends.  Planetside 2 looks like a legitimately good game and my PC couldn't run it in a month of Sundays)

I'm still more partial to the PS3's first year but that's just because it's full of the kind of niche stuff that just isn't being made by anyone anymore, period (Ratchet; Heavenly Sword; Folklore etc.)

Also, it's worth pointing out that in your list in the OP:

- 6 of the PS3 games you listed are developed by Sony-owned studios.

- 7 of the PS4 games you listed are developed by Sony-owned studios.

So if anything, their in-house content seems to have gotten better.  It's the lack of partnerships with outside studios that's hurting the exclusives lineup (but Sony are partnering with outside studios, they're just releasing them as downloadable/F2P titles.  Because times have changed.  Hence my point).

But you still wouldn't buy it specifically for a free to play game though. Aint nobody buying a console to play a free to play game. At this point in time, anybody who bought a PS4 without a game had to have the most boring experience with the PS4. The only way that probably happens is if the person doesn't have enough money to get a game with it or they just arent interested in the games that were out at the time of their purchase(basically being forced to have to settle for free to play games).

If you had said you would get a PS4 specifically for a free to play game, then i wouldn't have believed you for a second lol.

Also, times are changing but not that much. The only real change i see is sony's drop in game output. Give me the big retail games i know you for. Downloadable games are cool and all but i need those retail games!

I don't know.. Me personally I'm waiting for planet side 2 to drop, a f2p game.  I think that being on the ps4 hopefully is going to bring in a big community.  I dont care much for fps games anymore, but the massive scale battles are enticing enough to get me interested in it again.  If the PC community can still thrive after all these years.. Imagine what could be on the ps4.  As long as SOE maintains this game..This f2p game has a good potential to take a big chunk of the shooting community away from cod and bf if everything works right off the bat.  Not saying I won't be buying other games, but ps2 might be the one and last shooter I'll need to get for a while.. And I won't even have to pay for anything if I don't want to.  Quite frankly, if ps2, hzn1, and other f2p games of these likes come around and are successful.. It might also could change the gaming landscape itself and the strategies for console gaming.

Exactly why I thought E3 was disappointing . But it is not just Sony alone that was disappointing.

Like aforementioned before Sony released a lot of games for the PS3 that could of been PS4 games last year. TLoU, GT6, Puppeteer, GoW: Ascension, Beyond 2 Souls, etc. Things are popping off in 2015+ for PS fans.

I remember in 2012 for example PS3 cranked out exclusive after exclusive. Sorcery, Wonderbook, Starhawk, LBP Karting, PS All Stars, Twisted Metal, Tokyo Jungle, R&C: Full Frontal Assault, Killzone HD, R&C Collection, Jak & Daxter Collection,

Most if not all were sales flops. All outsold by Halo 4 alone. GREAT for forum nuts bragging online, but terrible for PS financials. Too much is overkill and they tend to cannibalize each other in the end.

Frankly Sony is smart to take it easy this time around. But fortunately, PS4 can stay #1 on 3rd party multiplats alone.

You want to brag about that lmao. KIllzone HD was never released physically only as a pack that the chartz didn't even track. Tokyo Jungle is of indie game status, R&C:FFA was a spin off, 2 collections of old games, 4 new IPs, two of which were "move" only which was already dead by the time they released.

I could have told you Halo would have outsold those back in 2012, and here we are 2 years later and you're still talking about it. This is probably the 5th time i've seen you talk about it.

Move on you're living in the past brother.

Ill move on when PS fans stop bringing up 2011-2013 when they are going strong this year.

Sounds rather petty and childish to me.

I hope we see Qauntic Dream, Media Molecule, Guerrilla Games and Sony London announce their new games at Gamescom. Probably ain't gonna happen though :D

No thanks, the world is a better place without their aweful games.

About the op, too many exclusive in the

Competition is harsh these days. AAA games are expensive too consumers who are being used to buy cheap indies titles or games on PSN and STEAM sales. The risk of flop is more painful than before with the raising dev costs. In my opinion 3 AAA first party exclusive per year is the right number.

Well im a massive fan of Heavy Rain and so are alot of other people and Beyond was treated way too harshly, not the best game but better than the critics made it out to be.

They got lots of studios. And you missed Resogun. Oops. They are focusing more on quality this gen and as a result fewer games. It would perhaps be a problem if there wasn't so much third party support. Also, last gen Sony overproduced on games and couldn't make back what they spent on them. Times change.
