I don't know if its just be or it's a known problem but around the third time when I turn on my ps4 my disc doesn't load. When I resort to turning off the system it would just be an endless loop of the circle in the middle of the screen. I have to hard boot it everytime. It started happening when the last update was introduced. It's been 2-3 months now and I haven't heard about this fix yet. 

Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do? 

They released a new update today (1.72)... have you tried it?

It happens to me sometimes.

I'll usually just turn it off and come back in 30 minutes. That usually works.

I'm doing that right now and I will see if it does anything. 

I hard boot it and then do the restore process and it works fine for the next 3-5 times I turn on the ps4 and then it craps out again by the fifth time. 

The update didn't do anything. The second I restarted after update was applied I had to reboot again...

I have not seen that issue. I do have the issue where my saves do not autoupload right and I get the warning that "XYZ save could not upload do you want to overwrite it" constantly whenever I exit out of games.  I'll be interested to see if the new update fixed that.  I havn't turned it on in 3 or 4 days so I don't have the new version.  I also had the Wolfenstein data erasure problem that that same patch update caused that others reported as well.

Maybe you should call Sony and see if they can help

If updates didn't fix it, it's probably not a software issue. Call Sony. Sounds like your disc drive might be a dud.

Reminds me of the freezing issues the Wii U had with games and apps (although your issue is disc drive related).  Most of them are gone now (with all the stability updates) but there are still issues.  Such as after I watch one program on Hulu+ and try to load another (usually Daily Show to Colbert Report) the app just stops working (won't show episodes after clicking on a TV program) and then when I try to exit Hulu+ it takes about 3-5 mins to finally get back to the start menu after acting like it is just frozen in an endless loop.  Bascially, the Hulu+ app on Wii U is complete shit and I have to use my blu-ray player for it. 

The best option is to notify Sony's customer service.  Sounds more like a disc issue than software although it could be both.
