Is this even a question? hahaha :P

Nothing will. It will only get boosts for a few weeks after the games are released and then it's back to 30k town.

This.  There simply aren't enough games to stablize the system.  The same will happen to 3DS soon.

i think the new baseline will be about 45-55k per week until august where hw will give japan a good boost then september october wont be much but november and december should be grand

(Lost)Bet with kinisking: I say Ps4 will win April NPD while he says Xbox One will win it; winner gets 1 week of avatar control.

well... if they keep the info the way it is... it is very hard to say. It annoys me right now how they have not been showing what each version has compared to the other. Instead it is here is what the Wii U lacks compared to the 3DS version. People would just buy the 3DS version and skip the Wii U making the Wii U version not have much of an effect.

Which is essentially what happened to New Super Mario Bros. U.  Except this time the distance in release will be shorter.  Not sure if that will help or hinder the sales of the Wii U version.

like i said mario party 10 and splatoon are suppose to come out first half of 2014 so we wont know if wii u will have a decent lineup of games in quick orderly fashion

Well Smash will be in the holidays, so no. When January comes it might settle at a higher baseline but not anywhere near 90k (unless they do a dramatic price drop)

As for Mario Kart, it'll be averaging 50k a week WW going into July.

guesstimation 50k per week in january is mine

No. If Mario Kart couldn't do much, there's no way Smash Bros. alone would do it. What may do it, is the collection of great games that makes the console very appealing. But most of the bump will be due to the usual holiday bump, it won't settle very high after the holidays, let's not overestimate Smash Bros. now. Consistent releases of titles are what will keep Wii U at a higher sales stream, not just one game.

SSB has a loyal fan base. Games with loyal fan bases always increase or stabilize consoles. E.g: Halo

It'll have a more stable baseline for sure, but not completely solid until 2015.

I think it will, but I don't think it's safe to make a call yet.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
