i just checked and the amazon theory is working some what
there is a ps4 and wii u bundle but no xbox one that stinks

The Wii U is still more than double what it was before MK8 came out.  Also better than what XOne was Titanfall week (assuming data is correcct).  Hopefully the Wii U will settle at about 50K.

Pretty obvious looking at the year. Amazon gets strong stock so anything that is hard to find locally may look stronger there than in stores. That said, ps4/xb1 have had tons of availability in stores for a long time now. The $399 SKU for xb1 is stacked up everywhere I go, so it's not likely to see any artificial inflation on Amazon, same with ps4 and xb1 kinect.

 

conclusion : Amazon did it again, just like every month in regards to ps4 v xb1 this year.

Even if this week is a little off, it doesn't change the fact that this Kinectless deal didn't save the Xbone. Wii U could be behind the Xbone this week by 5k or more and it still wouldn't matter.


It was more like 50% off before adjustments

The Wii u sales in the US have been lower than I was expecting the last 2 weeks but the Wii u European sales have been surprisingly good the last 2 weeks IMO - the Wii u has been dead in Europe since the start but this is the 1st life it's really shown there

Either way I m sure both MSFT and Nintendo must be disappointed in hardware sales right now - it looks like games will rule the day -

what actually surprises me is the ps4 and 3ds numbers. what is to account for the swap in positions? i am hoping people are realizing that there isnt much to play on ps4 and that accounts for the drop but.. maybe its something else?
