Indeed, Miyamoto is a genius, but to many gamers around the world, FF & MGS stand as superior titles over Mario.

And to many other gamers, I'd dare say a far larger number, the reverse is true. :)

Besides, Miyamoto has a far wider portfolio than the Gooch or Kojima.

He's also far better known in the mainstream media than Hironobo or Hideo.


Oh dont get me wrong. I do agree with you about Mr Miyamoto. But I was bread on the Atari 2600 and the 80's arcade's, so Im just saying that there are many gamers out there that love many other games than his.......... As their favorite.

I actually like his view on creating games. Zone Of The Enders was almost perfect.

Kojima's titles seem less and less impressive to me the more powerful hardware gets. Having restrictions forced him to rely more on his creativity. The writing in the Metal Gear Solid IV was plain atrocious. He used "nano machines" like plot hole begone. I miss the Kojima that made Snatcher. Kojima peaked with the Metal Gear Solid. After MGS he's been hit or miss.

Well, based on my previous post, I obviously disagree. At least from a story stand point.
